Incorporating the threads of experience I have had to date Alice Coomber Threads (ACT) is now developing a limited range of hand-crafted ‘textiles inspired’ products designed with their environmental impact in mind. These products are made from one or more of the following: natural fibres, sustainably sourced materials, and reclaimed waste materials. Full of personality through playful explorations of colour and composition, my products are designed to be long-lasting, adaptable, and functional.

ACT aims to encourage consumers to invest in pieces that are kinder to the planet and that support the adaptation of traditional crafts to modern material solutions.

Using waste materials to create abstract designs that embody a greater concept or issue has been a way of working I have felt drawn to through out my time studying. All aspects of my designs come from research and context development to ensure there is intention behind every decision.
